Our motel is perfectly situated to enable you to take advantage of the activities that Lake Taupo and surrounds has to offer. Experience all that the Taupo region has to offer by day and come back to luxurious accommodation at night.

ADVENTURE
Taupo is a great choice for the adventure seeker. For those of you who like to challenge themselves this region is a great choice. Not only offering adventure that challenges but an adventure with a real kiwi flavour. Try gliding, tandem sky diving, rafting, kayaking, sailing, 4-wheel driving (off-road), mountain biking, snow boarding or skiing, abseiling, bungy jumping, a rope assault course, rock climbing, jet boating, parasailing, water skiing, horseback riding, to name a few.

GOLF
There are 6 courses within three quarters of an hour of Taupo’s township and another hidden gem just one and a half hour’s drive away.

GUIDED TREKS
There are a choice of guided treks throughout our region which allow you to see our amazing landscape. Maps for these walks are available form the Taupo Information Centre on Tongariro Street.

WINE AND VINEYARDS
The Lake Taupo region has 11 vineyards with 5 producing wine. Our climate and soil are ideal for riesling, pinotage, pinot gris and pinot noir varieties. One of the finest wine cellars in New Zealand is Taupo's own 'Scenic Cellars'. The Wishart Winery is less than a 5-minute drive from town. The Hawkes bay is only a 1.5-hour scenic drive away with stunning wineries and Art Deco architecture.

SHOPPING AND CAFES
Taupo has many cafes along the waterfront, in town or hidden up little residential streets . The town of Taupo is relaxed and friendly, also offering a wide range of restaurants, art galleries and shops.

GEOTHERMAL AREAS
Taupo is at the centre of New Zealand's volcanic plateau. The region is full of interesting facts and stories relating to our volcanic history and contains numerous parks where you can wander among geysers, mud pools, and colourful pink and white terraces formed by the silica in the thermal water. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the thermally active terrain of the 'Craters if the Moon' - right here in Taupo.
